What each Line Represents

To understand your Chinese astrology chart, start with the top line. These are known as Heavenly Stems and represent your timeliness and Heaven Luck. If you are born at the right time of the year for your specific energy, life will be generally smooth. If you were born at the wrong time for your specific energy, life can be a struggle, with more stress and illnesses. If so, Chinese astrology is the only form of astrology that can show you how to overcome these difficulties.

Timeliness

You chart is most timely if you find your Day Heavenly Stem (top line 2nd left) in line 3,4,or 5 of your month column or Pillar. It is most untimely if you do not find this stem in lines 3,4, or 5 in any Pillar.

Chinese Zodiac

Below your Heavenly Stems are your Earthly Branches. These are shown as the animals of the Chinese Zodiac. This represents Earth Luck and has the ability to get you in the right place and, with heaven luck, at the right time. Here are the basic personality traits of the Chinese Zodiac.
